I have never been quite blown away by a location as this one…. and it happens to be this beautiful family’s ‘backyard’. The breathtakingly incredible views across the Lockyer valley to the north and Toowoomba to the west was the perfect backdrop for casually fun and natural lifestyle family photos.
The girls greeted me as I stepped out of the car and were immediately friendly. The camera was busy right from the start. We hadn’t even made our way up to the top of the hill. We chatted and I clicked away.
“Light-n-ing” lead the way to the top of the hill, with BB keeping a lookout from the back.
Even before we reached the top of the hill the girls excitement was captivating! Sally and Nick and the girls bring a little esky with a few drinks and snacks up here often. It’s Sally’s favourite place on their property…. and it would be mine too!
I love these images of Nick and the girls simply exploring naturally.
What I loved about this family was just how relaxed and comfortable Sally and Nick were with the girls, and because this was somewhere they came to often to enjoy it just felt right being here for them. They did what they always do…. and the time just floated along with only a little prompting from me necessary. That’s how I love it….. you can’t fake natural.
Belong long the sun was beginning its dip behind the horizon and that’s when the magic really happened! Woah, Noah! Amazing!
Sally and Nick’s dilemma now is which ones to print for the wall of their home!
At least one of these would be treasured for many years to come, don’t you think!?
