Meet Bronwyn

I have been blessed with 5 beautiful children, which makes me potentially crazy! They have taught me more than I ever imagined they would and not the least of which is to be organised in a spontaneous kind of way, and that love has no bounds!

I live in Ocean View on Mt Mee in the Brisbane hinterland and the breathtaking vistas around our home are an inspiration to me.

I relax (in no particular order) by photographing the things around me that inspire me, beach days, spending time with my beautiful family, reading in the sunshine on my deck, soaking in my outdoor bathtub under the stars, tinkling the ivory keys on my piano, walking with Murphy and Cosette, gardening and trying to grow our own food .

People are my favourite thing in the whole world.

When I started Wild Whimsy Photography in 2010 I had no idea that I’d be meeting so many beautiful people who would inspire me, and become new friends.

I never want to feel bored with what I do.

I loathe red traffic lights.

The beach is my happy place.

A family holiday is usually camping.

I journal the old fashioned way with pen and paper.

PS Most people I get to know end up calling me Bron and I’m ok with that!

For the last 3 years, each year around Sasha's birthday, I have been asking her the same 20 questions and writing down her responses with the view to doing an s;bum for her 16th-18th birthday. It's only been 3 years and already her answers have been quite interesting. Without fail though, when I ask her "What is your favourite thing for the 4 of us to do as a family?" she answers "Have photos taken". She loves our photo sessions with you and looks forward to them all year. She loves seeing you at the markets and around the place. You always take the time to say hello and make her feel listened to and special. Thanks for all the lovely photos you've given us over the last few years.

Thanks so much for travelling out to photograph our family and for being so understanding when bub got sick and we had to change dates. We were delighted with the photos you took and there are gorgeous ones of our boys!
Your approach with the boys was great, the way you talked to them about their interests made them feel at ease. You were able to photograph them looking really relaxed and natural. (No fake smiles!)
